C1 trunk divider and hood seal

What should the finish be on a C1 trunk divider? Exterior type gloss, or flat? Also, which way should the trunk seal face. My '59 did not have the trunk weatherstrip when I received it, so I don't have anything to go off of. Thanks in advance!

The trunk divison panel should have a distant "spanish" gain look after painting. I sprayed interior colored lacquer over the panel and it came out great. For correctness, use the special shallow phillips screws and "T"-diamond marked clips. If you are installing a new trunk lid weatherstrip, start at the (trunk hinge) top center and the weatherstrip should lay in it's correct position as you go around the trunk lid.

I agree with Dennis with one addition. The clips that hold the panel in place can be installed in more than one way. Judges usually look for the diamond to be showing to the trunk side if installed correctly.

Also, the trunk weatherstrip is pretty intuitive due to it's shape. The ribs should face outward and the seam should be dead center over the trunk latch.
