    C3 Rear Clip Follow Up

I just wanted to do a quick follow up with this community.

My thanks to Chuck Rice regarding the recommendation to contact Keith Beyersdorf of Corvel Automotive. I contacted him via email and paid him a visit while I was in Denver. I ended up buying a great 77 rear clip and Keith met me a week later in Michigan, where he delivered the rear clip, 2 new doors, a gas tank shield, hinges and various other little bits.

We loaded the clip on my trailer and it is now sitting proudly in my garage waiting to take it's rightful place on it's restored frame.

Keith is definitely a great guy to business with. Driving the body to Michigan just sealed the deal. (It would have cost a fortune to have it shipped to Toronto.)

This is the way to do business. There were no hassles (unlike my previous dealings for a clip).

Now I can get on with life.

Thanks Chuck and all for your info. And Thanks Keith for being honest and easy to do business with.

    Cheers,

    Michael B.

Keith is a solid local resource in Denver. Plus, he travels to Bloomington and Carlisle, so for those who can wait on large parts (frames, body sections), you can often arrange home delivery. And, the lion's share of Corvettes he parts out are Colorado natives (salt has always been prohibited on the roads here)....

Re: Glad it worked out Mike

When he delivered my clip, he had it setting on the frame that was destined for another Corvette lover in dire straights like us.

I tell ya if he hadn't had a big fella helping him, I probably would have clubbed him and taken the frame too. It was absolutley rust free with original paint still on 90% of it.

I absolutley HATE to give up on fixing anything, but when you weigh out your time, efforts and money put into fixing and patching vs picking up a straight, original and rust free used piece, the maths pretty simple.

Yah, I know what you mean. He had some big guy with him this time as well. No point clubbing him though since he was helping me load the clip on the trailer. Anyway if I choose to take such crude action he could raise his prices on me and I could not have that. :->

        Cheers,
