    Aluminum head & intake coating?

Is there a coating out there that will protect the aluminum from finger marks, oil spills and make clean up easier? I want to still maintain the stock aluminum "look", I know most clears will yellow over time. Any suggestions? Loosing judging points is not a priority.

I would use the process that Jerry MacNeish uses, it looks great....see website or ask John Hinckley.......Craig

Aluminum forms a natural hard oxide coating that will protect it from chemical attach to a fair degree, but will also dull the patina.

I've found that a 50-50 mix of Armor-All and distilled water applied with an old paint brush will keep natural aluminum looking good for a long time. It has to be reapplied every time you wash the engine.
