My 67 convertible has an annoying squeak/rattle in the passenger side door that appears to be caused by the two wedges rubbing together. Drivers side seems quiet. I can lube the wedges and the noise stops for about one drive, then comes back again. Is there a proper "adjustment" of these wedges (by adding or removing shims) that will keep them quiet? Are they supposed to be very tightly in contact and under force, or just touching? I can experiment, but I figured you folks might have already done that and could offer advice! :-)
