c2 side exhaust question

Hi guys,
I am thinking of putting side exhaust on my 65 that doesn't have side exhaust at this point.
Do I have to remove the rocker panel brackets? I would prefer to leave the car stock if so. But I do like the sound and look of side exhaust..

You will have to cut off the rocker panel brackets. They can be welded back on later if you decide to ge back to stock.

Mike,

I was in the same situation when I bought my 67 and was told by the supplier of my sides that the brackets could be bent in a manner to clear the pipes and then bent back if so desired to go back to using rocker panels. I did it that way and have had no problems. If you want to email me with a number I could fax you a drawing as to how I bent them.
