    '64 Exhaust and Electrical Questions

My computer skills are very limited. I have tried to use the Archives several times, all to no avail. In the very recent past a quality supplier of replacement exhaust systems was posted but I could not bring up the post. What suppliers have you had success with?

On the '64 wiring diagram there is reference to a radio capacitor connection. The wire is 16 ga. Brown and is powered only when the ignition key is in Accessory. How does this connect to a capacitor and the radio?

    Thanks for your help.

Re: '64 Exhaust and Electrical Questions

    Pat,

Exhaust systems can be purchased from many vendors but purchasing direct from Allens Stainless Steel Exhaust would be my recommendation. The fit is usually great and they have a selection of aluminized, or Stainless Steel. They can be reached at 1 574 722-7272. If you have a problem they will take care of it without hesitation.

The radio capacitor you are refering to is attached to the back of the instrument cluster at the lower screw of the oil gauge. It just keeps the radio from popping when the ignition switch is switched.

    Regards,

    JR
