Windshield Date Code on a 68

Would like to verifiy if the date code and other Libby Owens Ford markings are on the passanger's or driver's side.

This information is not mentioned in the judging manual, and would like to include, but need to verify what side the code is on.

    Thanks

    I've noticed ...

    your style.

    George,

I believe mine to be original. It is on the lower right (passenger) side of the windshield and the "wording" faces in (readable from the inside). My code is CZ (Nov 67) for my Dec 20, 1967 build date. Tom #24014

        Thanks Tom....for the response....

what can I say, we all have our idiosycracies, don't we?

Back to the task at hand, my widshield codes are on the left hand side, readable from the outside and since posting my question, found out the reason why. My windshield is a replacement, and because it has the correct date code, it was probably replaced at the dealer due to a crack that occured during delivery.

Something else that is out of the norm, my three grill pieces are silver, not silver and black like the normal 68 grills. I thought it was painted that way, but it is the factory plating, all silver.

            George,

Mine are silver and black. Have to examine closer for touch-up / restoration. Tom #24014

THE THREE GRILLS SHOULD BE BLACK AND SILVER. IT IS MORE OF A SILVER COLOR THAN A CHROME LOOK. THESE GRILLS WERE USED THROUGHOUT 1968 AND EARLY 1969'S ALSO. HOPE THIS HELPS. JON HERRICK

                    My three pieces are silver...

ALL silver, factory applied silver, not painted, no black, sure are weird looking, unusual. I guess come judging time, we'll dance around the roses a few times on this one.
