Re: More on Tires
"S" speed rating! No nylon cap belt! No way!!!
There are several nylon cap belted "H" and "V" rated 215/70R-15s out there, and even though the Z-rated Pirelli P4000 Super Touring appears to be out of production in this size, there is still inventory out there.

Re: Z rating vs WR
The basic Z-rating means the tire is capable of "over 149 MPH", however, this can be modified by either a W (168 MPH) or Y (186 MPH) in the service description following the size designation on the sidewall. The 215/70ZR-15 P4000 is modified with a W. Modern Corvette Z-rated tires are modified with a Y.
Listing the tire as a 215/70WR-15 is a short hand way of listing the speed rating without listing the service description, but does not conform to industry standard nomeclature. If you look at the sidewall the size and service description will read:
215/70ZR-15 99W
