    C3 UNDER-COATING

    SHOULD I HAVE UNDER-COATING ON A C3 UNDER SIDE????

I have some folks that say yes it came from the factory that way, some say it was a dealer option and some say it should never have any under-coating on it. So any ideas???

Thanks as always!!! NRCS MEMEBER JAMES RICHARDSON

    James-----

On early C3s, a very thin, spotty and usually poorly applied undercoating is usually seen on the rear of the wheel well area. General undercoating of the entire chassis area was not factory applied to any early C3s and, as far as I know, was not used on C3s to the end of production in 1982.

            Forgot to mention

that the undercoating WAS NOT applied to prevent rust, but used as a sound deadner and protective coating against stones and other road hazzards that the tires might pick up.
