I have read pgs. 25 and 26 trying to find the color of paint on the cowl area under the vent grille and under the wiper door can't find anything listed. Mine is in pretty good shape kind of flat black looking.I then went to pgs.68 and 69 under hood and nothing. Can some one tell me what should be there? I have mine apart working on the wipers so might as well freshen it up whlie i'm in there. Thanks for all help.
Chuck

I can't get an actual link to come up, but this should help you get there. If you are set for 5 days of posts it comes up on the top of the third page, but it will move down as more posts come into the front page.
I orginally posted to ask how the wiper assembly was painted plus had questions about screw size etc.
I stripped and painted two assemblies, one from a 69 and one from a 70. Both of them were semi flat black everywhere including underneath all of assembly where it would not have recieved spray if it was just blacked out in the car. I saw what looked like a couple of runs so wondered if this was just dipped once it was all assembled not sure about that.
Upon stripping them both had a green vynl wash primer under the black on all the metal but non on the nylon washers that are riveted into the assembly. Both of the assemblies were a semi flat black including over the nylon washers so this paint would have gone on after it was assembled, the paint was chipping off the nylon washers but fine everywhere else. Both of these assemblies were from cars that were only on the road for about 5-6 years so think they were very orginal, both were exactly the same.
Kelly Theaker did respond about under the windshield wiper door and he said he had green primer under there I think with a bit of over overspray of whatever colour his 69 was painted.
