1968-1971 Certification labels were originally imprinted from the protect-o-plate. On occasion the plate was not properly aligned and parts of the engine assembly code show up on the cert label. This is a random occurrence.
That makes perfect sense to me. I guess I'm very lucky to have one with the additional information. Having this extra tidbit, on the label and a Corvette Order copy (carbon paper version) showing the partial vin # also just makes verifying the options on this particular car, that much sweeter!
