1979 front license plate opening question?

What could or should be in the front bumper opening when a 1979 is judged? I see the is what is advertised as a logo plate, but the judging guide simply states two plastic push in nuts and two zinc screws? what is acceptable?

Actually the manual, as you've indicated is not clear...well its clear but incomplete. If your Corvette was built for a two license plate state then indeed it would be appropriate for a license plate to fill the void. However, if the car was built for a one plate state...then it would have been delivered with Corvette RPO BY8 License Plate Ornament (P/N 355385) and a "license plate ornament" would have been shipped and installed by the dealer. The ornament is nothing more than the license plate reproduced that is a black background with "corvette" in silver letters. However, on the judging field...judges just look for screws na fasteners.

Thanks Tom. My Corvette was a New Jersey car, so it had two license plate locations. I'll in stall one of the silver on black plates with zinc screws and see what happens. Thanks again.
