GM #2279015 is NOT a clock used in a Corvette or any other car. GM #2279015 is a spring for a rear axle electric shift motor assembly used for 1956 through 1972 Chevrolet and GMC Series 60 and higher trucks.

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the information- That was the only part # I saw on the clock, and it was located on the back side in the lower right-hand corner. Is there another place on the clock where I should be looking?

IF there is a number it should be on the back. It may be ink-stamped or on a paper label. A lot of the time, though, clocks don't have a GM part number to be found on them. The clocks were manufactured by outside vendors over the years (Westclock, Borg, etc.) and I don't know if it was a GM requirement to include the part number on the unit.
