62 geneerator mount finish?

Well, I expect my engine back this week and I have a few items that I cannot figure out.

What is the finish on the generator mount plate and mount bracket?

They were installed in the plant so they probably are not engine orange. Cannot find any references in the JGM or Adams book.

Chris - Good old (dip painted) semi gloss black should put you in judging paradise. Best, Dennis

Is there a semi gloss hi heat paint I should use? I tried some Bar B Q paint I had but it turned out very flat. I do have some Eastwood exhaust paint but it says matte on the can which is also probably to flat.

Or will regular old semi gloss paint work?

Good old semi-gloss will work fine; the dip-prime that St. Louis used fried eventually too. VHT black would probably last longest for that application, but may be a bit too glossy (at first).
