    C1 Leaf Spring

1958: Regarding the bolt that holds the leaves together; Does the nut end go on the concave or convex side of the spring? I think convex but I want to be sure. Also, on the banding, does the "tail" point inboard or out board and convex or concave side of the spring? Thanks, took lots of pix but still didn't help! Ken

    Re: C1 Leaf Spring

the round-headed bolt goes thru the main(longest) leaf first then the progressivly shorter leaves stack under the main leaf then the nut is applied to the bolt, hence the nut is located on the convex surface of the assemblied spring,. band's clip is on concave surface of assemblied spring. i doubt it matters which way the band's tail points, but i would point them in a consistent manner per spring. mike
