Re: More paint advice
re more paint advice joe lucia i don't know for sure if lacquer paint will keep for years however several years ago i saw a ' which had been recently restored at the time it had been painted with nitrocellulose lacquer which was the original paint used on ' s and the forerunner of acrylic lacquer used on later models nitrocellulose lacquer went out of production years ago in order to use this paint the restorer found some original factory packaged paint of the correct color white of course and successfully used the paint on the car to produce a beautiful finish that paint was probably or more years old at the time anyway based upon that experience and the fact that acrylic lacquer is fast disappearing several years ago i purchased gallons a lifetime supply of riverside gold for my ' and stored it against future need from time to time i agitate the cans and of course i do not open the sealed containers will it last i guess i'll find that out when i need it until then it's my security blanketIn Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top
