'64 Interior; Center Console Paint

Is there an over-the-counter red spray paint (flat? semi-flat? semi-gloss?) that passes judging when used to paint the center console metal trim? Not certain if I must paint this trim in Riverside Red but in something other than gloss. Thanks.

I used the interior plastic/vinyl paint (saddle in my case) on the top surface of the console and it appears as original.

Charlie,

I did the same as Scott and Randy and went with the interior paint, in my case red or the darker scarlet color in my '64 convertible.
