Bill - Thanks to a post from Roy Braatz, I succesfully read my 62 frame VIN with the body on. Removed the driver's seat, rolled the carpet forward enough to uncover a plug in the floor pan. Removed the plug and with a small mirror, and some minor wire brushing, could read the VIN on top of the frame rail. Not saying it was easy, and I have a pretty clean frame, but with patience it can be done. Regards, Dick
