    How can I tell a real 67 antenna from a reissue or a reproduction? Thanks john

    John,
    Original antennas hava a square edge (top) on the conical shaped bottom piece. Also, the size of the finial ball may be larger on reproductions, although some reproducers are improving their accuracy. As to the reissue, I don't know.

      Find a member with an original. Look it over thoroughly and a repop will jump out at you. Briefly, the original cone is smaller in diameter and the wall is thinner at the top and wider diameter at the bottom. The lock nut is separate. Threads are diferent orientation, shape and position. The bottom end has a recessed ring with unique orientation and end. The mast is evenly tapered from end-to-end with a smoother, darker finish. Other than that the repops still are not very close.
