    67 "headlights" switch

    Dear Members,
I have unplugged and removed the switch from underneath the dash. I can see that Bubba's little, monkeyboy-nephew, Chaka has drilled two holes in the back of #5716351(switch). I took it apart to clean, inspect and reassemble. Does the pin that goes through the button need and type of lubrication? Should I try to clean contact tabs with high # grit paper for better electrical conductivity? Thank you much!

Definately clean the contacts, you'll find you don't have to put so much pressure on the switch afterwards.

      I thought that P/N 1995149 was the headlight used in 1967 Corvette's, with 1995179 being a re-placemnt P/N.

          Dear Members,
Thanks for the input! I'll give it a good cleaning and try afterwards for functionality. I'd like to do this first before the costly replacement.
