    '64 seat track re-assembly

Trying to put seat track hardware back together after the sand blaster disassembled them. Is there a trick to putting in place the coil springs (two per track) that serve as "bearings" inside the tube when the seat moves forward and aft? Looks as if I need another hand or perhaps a few more fingers. Any help will be appreciated as patience is presently running in extreme short supply. Must be cocktail hour.

    Best regards,
    Charlie

    Charlie,

I've never attempted this and really don't even know what a 64 seat rail looks like, but would a pair of needle nose vise grips help hold something in place while you work things together?

Just hope the dink at the sandblaster place didn't lose anything important.

    good luck..

Thanks Tracy, believe I'll have someone lend an extra set of hands in the morning. That should do it.
      Best regards,

        Charlie,

I did my '63 seats but, I don't know if they are the same as the '64. I can not remember at this time how I did it but, I don't think that it was an issue to where you need extra hands or a special tool.

I do have pictures of what I did so, I will look at them tonight and if I think that it would be helpful to you, I will scan them and then send them to you.

          A done deal: '64 seat track re-assembly

All it took was two more hands and a bigger hammer. Thanks folks.
          Best regards,
