I'm having no luck identifying a coil that came with a bunch of '66 Corvette parts. It has Delco-Remy on the bakelite top and the embossed partial part number of 298 on the side with B-R below that. Also is there any way to test a coil other than install it? Thanks, David

Re: Delco Coil Part Number ID help
David,
I can't help with the part number but the only way to properly test an ignition coil is to put it on a car an run it until full operating temperature is reached and the car is driven some distance. Continuity tests are a good start but are not 100%.- Top

Still Need Part Number ID help
Thanks for the info David. I just googled the number and the only listing I could find was for a 69 Z28. I still think it must have a Corvette application as it was with Corvette only parts. Any additional help would be appreciated.- Top
