I agree, if you restore your car, you can modify the engine to run on 94. For me, I have no intention of disassebling my engine, so maybe I'm being self centered. I have twisted my timing back, but it still doesn't run well on 94. As for the environment, I only drive my car 3-4 hundred miles a year but believe that the cars of today run much more efficient and shouldn't use Cam2. I have less of a problem with historical old performance cars. How many miles a year do we put on them. I have a real beef with large trucks that somehow slip by the emmission standards. I live on LI, and see hundreds of trucks a day spilling black, fuel enriched smoke into the air and I don't see that being regulated/stopped.
These are just a few thoughts. I am a very environmentally friendly person who recycles what I can and keep my daily cars running very clean.
All the best and thankful that I don't have my vette put on a dyno like my Tahoe this morning.
