The reason they are going sdo high is that the spring clips come with them .

Are the knobs on this window handles like a very dark blue (not quite navy) and almost look black if you don't look carefully? If so is the PN 5719477?

I can find no record of GM #5719477. In any event, it's not a Corvette part number. If this is a number that you found on the back of the zinc-diecast portion of the handle, then it's just the casting number for this component of the handle assembly. The actual assembly part number for window crank handles appears nowhere on the part----only on the box that SERVICE parts are supplied in.

The handles that were the subject of this thread were what GM called "medium bright blue" and were of GM #7719273. The handle knobs that you described are what I believe GM described as "blue" and were of GM #9712064.
