C-1 Crankshaft Rear Main seal

Could someone tell me is it possible to change the rear main crankshaft seal on a 327 cu.in.250 horse with a 4speed without engine removal? And if so what is the best approach and time involved. Thanks again

Gary yes you can change out the rear crankshaft seal without removing the engine by just removing the oil pan for access to the rear main. Different techniques are posted in the archives about the removal,installation, sealing the ends of the new seal, and off-setting the new rear main seal.
