    1969 Smog Pump Pulley

Did an archive search and didn't come up with anything, so thought I'd ask here. Can someone tell me what the correct part number for the '69 L36 427/390 smog pump pulley is? Bizzoco has contradictory statements about it in the 1969 Stingray Guidebook. In one place he says that its 3923214 and at another he says that it's 3925522.

I've picked up a pump that I think is correct for my car (the diverter appears to be correct & it's got the white fan and the appropriate dates), but it has the 3925522 pulley on it, and the only application I've been able to find so far for that pulley is on a Camaro.

    Thanks, guys.

I shows the 3923214 as the A.I.R. lower bracket for smallblock with the 3925522 for the big block pulley. What page are you referring to in Bizzoco?

John - what does the AIM show? My 67 listed the pulley numbers in there, in my case in the options section since A.I.R. was CA only. Somehwhere in the AIM should be the pulleys for the various RPO's...Craig

        John-----

GM #3925522 is the correct AIR pulley for all 1969 Corvette big block applications. It was also used for other applications, including Camaro. The GM #3923214 is NOT a pulley, at all. GM #3923214 is the cast iron AIR pump bracket used for 68+ small blocks.

Thanks guys. The page # in Bizzoco is bottom of 114 & top of 115. Here's what he writes while talking about the big block pump pulley: "The pulley is gray phosphate and the number used is 3923214." I assume that it must be an editing error, especially since the illustration on page 116 says "Big blocks used pulley 3925522."

Craig--I looked in the AIM, but could only find the small block application. Could be I need to look a little more. Would sure be nice if the darned thing was indexed!
