what adhesive did they use to bond the plastic lining to the door in between the door panel and the door this would be on a 72'

It was a rope caulk seal....I think 3M has a dum dum similar in concept if not color....Craig

3M has a product, P/N 08578. that is a dark strip caulk. The package is 60 12" strips. You can find it at automotive paint stores and in smaller towns at most auto parts stores.
