          When I purchased my 72 'as is', I e-mailed chevrolete.com and asked for help. They were very helpful. I sent them the VIN and the code off the engine block. They not only confirmed that the engine was original equipment, they sent me a restoration package, that has a wealth of info about my yr. model. Might drop them a note about yours.
