    Thank you Everyone

I appreciate the help and support........ and Joe I appreciate you coming back and saying what you did........ I hope to learning what and how to ask lots of questions. I have only recently taken possession of this 1978 anniversary edition and it needs a lot of love and help to get back to where she belongs.
I'm trying to do a crash course to learn before I start .........I dont want to make a horrible mistake right off the bat

I know I will make mistakes but I do like to research and learn all I can before starting on this project

Thanks again everyone......... nice to be here

    I'm glad you're here

but nobody's real name is "Stormy Nyght". I could be wrong. Don't think so. If this is true, what is your real name. I would have a problem answering any question you may have to an alias. Don't be suprised if you have trouble getting answers to your questions. Have Fun.

mike: i went all thru grade and high school with a girl whose genuine, original, bowtie, survivor, unmolested name was April Showers. Agree Stormy's handle may be an alias, but hwo knows. regards, mike

I like it. I hope whoever it is, keeps using it. I knew a Nyght" family in Rockford years ago.

          Mike:

I went through grade school and high school with someone named April Haendiges. She wasn't very good looking back then. May not be any better now. At least, I knew who I was talking to. When someone uses an alias, it is like talking to someone with sunglasses on. You can't see their eyes. That is important to me.

But, maybe he/she is real. Who knows. Can't tell from his profile.

If you like talking to an alias, go ahead.

I've got a patient whose first name is Storm. Fits her appropriately enough.

              Re: I'm glad you're here

That's a great superiority additude Mike (McKown). I don't understand what the problem is with a name no matter if it's real or not. You probably don't know a lot of the people you talk to on this board. This is beginning to remind me of NCCC in the 70's.

We're supposed to be here to share Corvette information with people who ask for it. I don't remember anyone ever telling me we had to be selective about who we "allowed in" and who we didn't. When I first joined this organization in the 70's, I don't remember any of this kind of thing going on.

This was a very bad showing of NCRS hospitality from the start for a brand new member. I think a few people need a bit of an adjustment.

I'm sure I'm not making any new friends now over this deal but I say what I feel. It's all been in VERY poor taste!

                Re: I'm glad you're here

I am glad that Stormy is here too, but the rules, as I understand them, is that
you use your real name, or your first name and your NCRS#. I think that the reason for this is a matter of control. After all we dont want this forum to start looking like the others. You know, with the CB handles and questions like " What year C3 do you have", or Mine is Blue What color is Yours? So Stormy, come clean. Are you real or are you Memorex?

                  Wayne,

I understand what your saying and I partially agree but that's not exactly the point I was trying to make. If indeed the name was a problem for someone, it could have been handled much differently than it was. All that would have taken is an email to Stormy instead of all the nonsense that was going on for the last several days. If you've read all the posts from the beginning, you would have to agree that is was handled improperly. If I were Stormy, I'd tell everyone where to head in and go elsewhere.

I'm sure Stormy is reading all these posts now and is again quite impressed with the hospitality.

If NCRS has a problem with it, then let NCRS contact Stormy but don't come up with all that BS on the forum. That's not what it's for. That's grade school nonsense. Lets get back to discussing Corvettes.
