Has anyone used the Valvoline Snypower DOT-4 fluid? It is a synthetic brake fluid. sounds real close to silicone in the boiling pont and they say that it has low moisture draw.

Re: brake fluid again
All brake fluids are "synthetics" because the glycols that make up brake fluid do not occur in nature. They are "synthecized" through a petrochemical process. Silicone fluid is also "synthetic".
The word "synthetic" has become marketing hype. Plastic grocery bags are "sythnetic". If you buy a pair of shoes that aren't leather, they are "synthetic", too. The Valvoline product is a glycol based fluid that meets the DOT 4 spec, so it has a higher wet and dry boiling point than DOT 3. DOT 3 and DOT 4 fluids are fully compatible because they are the same chemical base. I use DOT 4 in my cars that have conventional glycol fluid. The Vavloline product is equivalent to the Castrol LMA DOT 4 brake fluid that is also commonly available at auto parts stores.
