C2 BIG BLOCK IGNITION SHIELD INSULATOR

I need help reglueing the plastic insulator to a c2 big block ignition shielding cover.What type of adhesive was used and was it applied in a not so neat manner ? Thanks, for your help Lou.

i've used 3-m weathersrtip adhesive for years. sticks well but the underside of the shield, being chrome plated, disallows long term bonding. you'll get a couple years out of 3-m. mike

Yes, it was just spread all over the underside. I think the yellow weather strip seal will turn brown with heat and it should look like brown baby poo after some drying and heat.
