    C3 brake bleeding question

Hello all. I am gravity bleeding the brakes on my '69. I have done the rears (I think) and am wondering how you know when the caliper is completely bled. I have gone through about 3 reservoir fills of fluid for each bleeder. I never saw a single bubble pass through the clear plastic hose. In the past I have always used the pump/release method where you can plainly see the bubbles. I intend to follow up the gravity bleed with a vacuum bleed with a "Mity-vac" tool
    Thanks for you help.

All the air should be out when you get liguid, so you've done it at least three times. You won't see bubbles with gravity bleed.

      Wayne:
Thanks for the quick reply. So since I have filled a container with fluid from the calipers (both bleeders), I can be sure that there is no air in the lines? If this is true then this was the easiest brake bleeding job I've ever done.
      Thanks again for the help.

Wow, you're lucky to have done it so quickly. The anti siphon bleeder screws really help in this job if you don't already have them.

          Jeff:
I don't have anti-syphon bleeders but since I was not sucking air back into the calipers as would be with "on/off" bleeding I was not concerned. It took about 4 hours to do what I did but since it was really a passive thing (just checking to be sure that the master cylinder didn't go dry), It didn't seem like a big job. I did re- bleed the whole system today with my "Mighty -Vac" tool to be sure. I will start up the car and check the pedal tomorrow. Wish me luck!
