washer hose at rear of carb

My 62 340hp car was missing the washer jar/pump and hoses going to the engine.

In the AIM on the base engine it shows a hose going to a tee which has one hose going to the distributor and the other to the left rear stud. My engine does not have this distribtor vacuum advance or stud with hole. Where does the hose from the washer lid go? The RPO 396 page does not show this area.

    thanks again, Chris

washer hose at rear of carb 62 340

Could someone post or send me a picture of a 62 (or 63?) 340 hp engine shot behind the carb? Both Rob and I are trying to figure out how the washer vacuum hose attaches. Also there is a tapped hole just behind the carb that I have nothing in and Rob has a bolt that holds nothing. Cannot figure out what it is there for and if a stud should be in it.

    thanks

See illustrations and photos on pp. 325, 331, and 367 in Noland's book - lots of good detail.

Re: washer hose at rear of carb 62 340

Thanks John but none of these are the 340hp. I looked pretty hard thru the book before and could only find one good shot. On page 364 upper RH corner there is a good shot but the fitting shown is not the one that the catalogs sell. The available one has the nipple coming out the side of the threaded fitting. So I am not sure what is correct and need further examples.

pp. 325,- base engine - 340 distributor does not have vacuum advance nor does 340 use connector tee.

331,-all base or 300 hp engines (one has incorrect aluminum valve covers).

        367-all 300hp with hollow stud.

        thanks, Chris
