Has anyone viewed the Eckler's video series that includes body repair, prep and paint? Were they informative? Helpful? I want to restore my 67 myself, so I am trying to gain as much knowledge as I can before I start. Are there better books videos? Any input would be appreciated.

Re: ECKLER'S VIDEOS
I bought a copy of the Eckler's paint video. It was Al Sowash (sp?) (who is a Bloomington Gold instructor and ran Eckler body shop for a while) demonstrating how to paint a mid-year with lacquer. Since I had no recent painting experience I thought it was good. It covered material, priming, block sanding, spraying the final coat and sanding and buffing it out.
I would rate it as a good source if you are planning on either painting your own with lacquer or having it done. It is an older tape. It shows the use of DP-90 which has been replaced with DPLF-90. (trivia - the DP stand for Dixler Primer, the LF stands for lead free. As I understand it they took the lead out of the original and what I have heard was a better material).
My 2 cents.

Re: ECKLER'S VIDEOS
I have the fiberglass repair videos done by the same guy. I found them very helpful for someone who has not done much fiberglass work, I would recommend them to anyone just starting fiberglass and or body pannel replacement. Tom- Top
