C1 keys & locks

My current trunk key does not work in the doors. The glove box lock just spins. The ignition key works only the ignition. Two questions;
1)What keys should work on what?
2)If the doors, trunk and glove box work off one key what is the best way to correct that?

Only one key is used on a '62 Corvette, for all purposes, including doors, trunk, Ignition, and glove box. It is not a problem needing correcting. If you have a problem with one of your locks not opening with the ign key, a good locksmith is generally the easiest solution.

My 61 has a hex shaped key for ignition and door; Round for the trunk and glove box. Both keys are marked "GM" Your key to greatr value. I think they are correct?

Dennis - Please check your Owner's Manual but I believe pre-1965 Corvettes came with only two identical octagon head keys that fit all the locks on the car. The original key heads had the GM logo and YOUR KEY TO GREATER VALUE on one side as you noted. The flip side of the head had BRIGGS & STRATTON CORPORATION MILWAUKEE WIS. U.S.A. on it. The keyways on the pre-67 octagon head and round head key are the same. Pete

I have a 1961 and one key is used for all locks.
