A 69 with air or TI had a 61 amp alternator. In 69 that would be either a code 1100825 or a 1100884. For a july built car, I would look for a date code for April(G) May (H) or June (J), the numbers were pretty close to the build date. Keep in mind the NCRS rules state 6 months prior to the build date, but within a couple of months is more prevalent. If you car was a late July built car, you could even expect to see a July dated Alternator (K). An 882 was the other 61 amp alternator produced in 69, but was used on L88, L89 wTI.

    I hope this helps

Lotsa luck a findin' a 882 or 825 alternator. These were fairly low production items and Corvette only.

Yes, the '825' is practically impossible to find with ANY date. The '882' is just about as hard to find, too. I purchased an '882' a while back for a "steal" price. It's not for sale, though.

July 1969 would likely have the 884, July 1968 built 1969 would have likely have the 882. Note the use of the word "likely." Based on looking at a lot of 1969 Corvettes.

You can commonly get the unstamped correct style cases on e bay. Don't bother trying to stamp with your number, the font won't match! But you can at least have the correct case style for a total of about $70.

I agree, John Pirkle has them in stock so that can be helpful.
