IN 1971, I BOUGHT MY FIRST CORVETTE. A 1967 GOODWOOD GREEN/GREEN COMBINATION,THAT I KEPT FOR SEVERAL YEARS. FAST FORWARD 30 YEARS,I FOUND ANOTHER 1967 GREEN/GREEN CAR THAT I AM RESTORING.THERE A FEW INTERIOR PEICES THAT APPEAR TO BE UNTOUCHED ORIGINALS, AND AS I REMEMBERED THEM.I RECENTLY SAW A BODY OFF RESTORED NCRS/BLOOMINGTON 67 GREEN/GREEN CAR.THE OWNER PROUDLY PROCLAIMED ALL OF THE INTERIOR PEICES THAT ARE USUALLY REPLACED WERE FROM AL KNOCK.ALL THE VINYL INTERIOR PEICES I BELEIVE ARE THE WRONG COLOR GREEN.THIS CONTRAST WAS MANIFESTED BY THE CONFLICT WITH THE DASH EYEBROWS AND WINDOW CRANK KNOBS,WHICH ARE ORIGINAL TO THE CAR AND WERE RE-DYED WITH INTERIOR VINYL PAINT BY DUPONT.ALSO, THE SEAT COVERS WERE NOT UNIFORMLY GREEN, THERE APPEARS TO BE A SPECKLED PATTERN TO THEM. I CALLED AL KNOCK AND EXPLAINED ALL OF THE ABOVE, THEY TOLD ME THERE PRODUCTS ARE TRUE TO FACTORY COLORS AND PATTERNS.I KEPT MY FIRST 67 FOR ALMOST 10 YEARS, I BOUGHT IT WHEN IT WAS 4 YEARS OLD.THIS WAS IN AN ERA WHEN I AND EVERY ONE ELSE USED THERE CARS AS EVERYDAY TRANSPORTATION. THE POINT BEING I HAD ALOT OF EXPOSURE TO THE CAR, CLEANING,DRIVING AND ADMIRING.AL KNOCKS COLORS SEEM WRONG.I WOULD APPRECIATE ANYONE HELP OR OPINIONS.

Let the buyer beware, know what you are looking at (or for) and shop until you find it. Reproductions are not necessarily accurate to originals (although some are) and different manufacturers have different ideas of "good enough"Bill Clupper #618- Top

First Corvette bought when you were 4?
Man, and I was still pulling my Radio Flyer behind my strap-on skates!
Must be nice to start sooooooo young driving.

Re: HELP WITH 1967 GREEN INTERIOR
Louis,
Always happy to hear about someone working on a Goodwood Green / Green '67. I owned one for almost 10 years. It was the best vette I EVER owned.
Regarding your comments though. My car needed to have the seatcovers replaced and after seeing some of what was available at the time (1980s), Knoch products were and still are(in my opinion)dead on. It's always possible that someone states using a certain product. Or was told that it was a certain product, and it might not be so.
If the car did not have tinted glass, it would also affect those parts, especially the window cranks to some fading. Just a thought. If it is a coupe, check the side areas by the back window. they get protected somewhat by being out of ones way and could provide both the texture to the vinyl as well as a color reference.- Top

Re: HELP WITH 1967 GREEN INTERIOR
Louis, Suggest you get samples from the various supp;iers, I found Corvette America to be closest to orginal for my 67 Coupe. However dye lots can be different regardless of the manufacturer.- Top

Re: HELP WITH 1967 GREEN INTERIOR
Dye lots differed from batch to batch in 1967. I think that you will find Al Knoch interiors, for the most part, head and shoulders above most other manufacturers. Al, I believe, also does private label parts, so no matter who yo buy from it may or may not be from Knoch.Dick Whittington- Top
