    C2 67 Convertible Air Parts??!!

Well, my buddy finally found him a fairly straight and original 67 convertible (Texas car) for a body-off restoration. It's hard to believe there are still any left out there.

With temperatures already up to 100 deg here, it's hard to believe he's planning to ditch the existing aftermarket air conditioning for sake of originality. What he really needs is to find someone interested in swapping him an original heater box and ducting for his existing AC equipment. Where does one find that kind of stuff for a midyear, anyway?

Inner and outer midyear heater boxes are on eBay almost every day.

      Re: 67 Fluctuating Light Problem

I am experiencing what looks like a fluctuating power issue, with the car running, and a door open the courtesy lights flicker. Must be an alternator problem? I have a new GM alternator on the car but the alternator is an 'old' correct unit that probably was just cleaned up, not rebuilt. Is it time to send it to Georgia?

        Re: 67 Fluctuating Light Problem

David, unless the dash lights, headlights, and other lighting is simultaneously flickering, I would be first concerned about a short in the courtesy light circuit. The simultaneous flickering of the ammeter needle may not necessarily mean the alternator is the problem; I have seen an intermittent short in a headlight knock the ammeter in the dirt with every little arc. Probably not a good thing for your alternator long term.

David - Chucks thoughts are good, I would suspect a courtesy light issue, but not a short, rather an open ground in the door switch, that is intermittently making and breaking connection. These switches are notoriously bad and have grounding issues. If I recall, they have two wires in vettes since the body is not an electrical ground, but I would look at the button switch first....Craig
