Paragon will take care of you - check the JG to see if your VIN requires a Bowtie on it or not.

John - my May 11 built 67 (18255) is supposed to have no bowtie according to the JG. The mirror has glass date of Jan 67, and is a Donelly Mirror. This date matches the glass dates in my car too, just wondering when exactly DMI dropped the bowtie, maybe my mirror is off a 67 that was built in Feb - April...not sure about this and always wondered if it was original or not....Craig

Dunno - unless research justifies a revision, just go with the JG if you want the points. Research is a good thing, and we usually learn something from it.

I think a 1 DMI 7 would be quite correct for a May car. My May,1 car which I am certain is the original is also a 1 DMI 7 and I have seen many of that date near that production date. Also no bowtie.

Thx Wayne and John - actually, I re-read my post, and I realized I omitted details of my mirror, it is 1 DMI 7, but it has the bowtie, and the JG says it shouldn't. I am guessing they may have been converting somewhere in that time frame. The glass condition is excellent, and I purchased a NOS GM service dated mirror by DMI, it is from the early 70's as I recall from the box date code. I was going to soak out the glass in each, and transfer the original glass to the NOS mirror so the date is right, and it has no bowtie. I noticed the repro mirrors have a different bevel around the exterior of the glass, compared to originals. My original mirror has pits in the housing anyway, so I guess I am best off with the glass transfer. However, it is interesting that the original bowtie mirror does have 1 DMI 7 glass.....Craig
