    C-3 Hood Weatherstrip Question

    I have a '72 that needs hood the weatherstrip installed. The AIM does not specify the exact position on the hood to glue it to. On which surface is the weatherstrip supposed to seal to on the fenders and firewall?

      The hood weather strip wraps around and seals against the firewall ledge. You'll a 'lip' that forms the inner edge of the firewall and rain gutters - the weatherstripping seals against the flat surface outside of that edge.
