    '63 engine cast vs assembly

How probable is it that a November 6, 1962 casting date block would be assembled within two days (November 8, 1962) with complete pad stamping for a 360hp fuelie? Thanks

Gary, this sounds very possible to me, my 67 L79 was assembled the day after cast, and it has all be verified original by Al Grenning....Craig

      Garry,

I have seen four different, verified cars with "same day" stampings as well.
I have talked to Noland Adams and Roy Sinor on this and it is not common BUT not unheard of. These kinds of things DID happen.

Thanks guys. Noland's book has documentation of several that range anywhere from one day to thirty-one days. I wanted to see how common it was and to verify that what he has in the book is reasonably correct.
