    Body Bolts(1964 coupe)

    Clarification: Is the firewall(engine compartment) bolt like all the others, that is, is it a bolt AND washer configuration? or just a bolt? Ground the head off and the washer seems rusted firmly to the bracket or?????. Thanks in advance.

      I assume you are talking about the body mount bolt position #1 as shown in the AIM.... The bolt has a "skirt" on it below and part of the hex head. There is also a washer under the hex head. This is the configuration on a 67 coupe which is most likely the same as your 64

          Steve, I cut both right and left #1 bolts' heads off and the washers below are stiil adhering to the body bracket below them. I was just wondering if there was something unique to #1 bolt compared to the other 4 bolts? Thanks for the reply. Next step is to get the body off which I hope to accomplish this week.
