    C3 heater hose spring clamp

I am trying to install the small heater hose from the heater core to the water pump on my 65 small block. The fitting on the water pump seems to big but I can get the hose on. The spring clamp is a different matter. This is a quality reproduction hose and clamp. Any suggestions? Thanks Paul.

    Paul -

The small (5/8" ID) hose goes from the intake manifold fitting to the small (bottom) tube on the heater core, and the large (3/4" ID) hose goes from the water pump fitting to the larger (upper) tube on the heater core. You're trying to put a 5/8" hose on a fitting intended for a 3/4" hose.

Sorry John, I did not mean water pump, it's the intake manifold fitting I'm having trouble with. The fitting on the intake manifold is considerablly larger than the heater core. It is a reproduction but is just like the original one........Paul
