1960 Glove box

I tried to adjust the glove box on my 60, but the lock is about a half an inch below the tab. I tried to adjust the glove box lid up as far as possible. Anyone run into this problem and has a solution I would appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Jim,
The latch on a 60 latches against a large flat-headed screw that screws into the latch plate. The latch on the glovebox door catches behind head of the screw. It sounds like this screw is missing. You run this screw in or out to adjust the closing position of the door.

Thanks, I see the screw head. I'll try and adjust the screw out. See if that works!!
