    C2 - throttle linkage

Last year after parking my '67 in my shop for the winter, I removed the throttle linkage (carb to accelerator lever) and wired brushed it (clean-up intended).

However, over winter, it has rusted, which was certainly NOT my intention. So, my question is, what is the correct finish? Painted? Nautral?

    Thanks.

Tom, Judging guide for a 65 says cad or zinc plated. Mike

A cleanup with steel wool to remove rust and a dusting with a low-gloss clear will make it look decent.

tom: if you wish an original finish(silver cad) send it to John DeGregory, the FI dude(ads in driveline), and he can have it cad plated.cost for you to send it to your cad plater would be out of site as most cad guys charge by the bucket load and it doesn't matter whether the ****et is full or just has your throttle rod. or you could buy one fro m Paragon who i believe still has them available(be sure to specify you don't want the stainless repo, just the cad plated critter. mike
