'63 vs, '62 ign. shield bolt

Per the '62 AIM the proper bolt for the ignition shielding is PN 423554, screw with captured washer (was PN 121798 bolt and 120380 washer before AIM change date 7/25/61).

Paragon sent me their PN 3246 which is just a bolt w/o washer. Can I assume that my November car had the newer screw with captured washer?

For '63 Paragon offers a PN 3382 which is a captured washer on a bolt which looks like the one in the AIM. Could someone check their '63 AIM and see if the part number is 423554?

Yes, that's the number in the 63 AIM.

Thanks JR. At least I now know that Chevy intended to have the '63 fasteners on the '62.

Can anyone confirm that the change to a captured star washer was made in '62?

Well, just to finish up this thread if someone looks in the archives:

Late '61 and all '62 did use the '63 bolt with captured star washer.
