Last night I installed new upper A Arm flaps on my '66. It is equipped with a 427 and power steering. I have the flaps covering the top of the shocks and tucked into the A-Arms using the cutouts on the side of the flaps. The end of the drivers side flap drags the power steering pulley slightly and is beginning to wear. On power steering cars should this flap be trimmed so that it doesn't drag, is it just supposed to wear in, or do I just have a poor quality repro that doesn't fit correctly? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks - P.J.

Re: C2 Upper A Arm Flap
A arm dust shields drape over and towards the midline before tucking under and outboard . if so installed and pump pulley contacting the flap, then something is wrong. most likely cureable by using a little smaller in circumference v-belt to pump. assume you're using original configuration pump to block bracketry. all repo flaps i've bought over the years were near or exactly shaped like oringinal flaps.also assume frame unbent. mike- Top
