The link has a photo of the decal from my 70 454. This photo is better than the one I submitted last week.

Re: 70 Engine Suffix Code Label photo
You have.
Chris has the only one I've ever seen that is red on yellow, for any year.

No, I think he has "aged yellow" or "aged gold." Maybe more aged than others I've seen, but the right chemicals from a prior owner's cleaning attempts would likely bleach it too.

Re: 70 Engine Suffix Code Label photo
To the naked eye it appears to have originally been red on manilla. The red has faded to orange, and the manilla has gotten darker.
One of the photos I took was with a flash, the other without.1969 Riverside Gold Coupe, L71, 14,000 miles. Top Flight, 2 Star Bowtie.- Top

Chuck Black on yellow is all I have seen in person. I have now seen red in a picture but I like to see them myself as the ones I have made and gave away are now on so many cars new judges think they are seeing an original if the owner found a way to age it. LyleLyle

Re: 70 Engine Suffix Code Label photo
Thanks Chris.
The other thing that strikes me is that I've seen a couple of unusual stickers on VERY early 1970 cars. Perhaps that is why Chris' sticker does not seem to match the majority of stickers out there.

Re: 70 Engine Suffix Code Label photo
Hi Zachary, I have a very early car, VIN #531, body build date A09 (Jan 9th).
For what it's worth, the engine build date is T1219 (December 19, 1969).1969 Riverside Gold Coupe, L71, 14,000 miles. Top Flight, 2 Star Bowtie.- Top
