Re: C3-Alternator
Barry, here is what I have for John Prikle...
John Pirkle is in Agusta GA Telephone: 706-860-9047
I know he has a web site so if you do a search on google, it should bring it up. If you do not get it, I can look for the web site as I have it in one of my older e-mail messages.

Barry-----
I agree with the others; John Pirkle would be a good source for a completely restored alternator of the part number and date you need. I wouldn't think that this would be a very difficult alternator to locate. They were used on other Chevrolet models besides Corvette and they were also used on some Pontiacs. In Appreciation of John Hinckley- Top

Re: C3-Alternator
Barry,
I found a 1102908-63A dated 7J12 for my Jan built 1978 about 5 years ago from Don Briggs Corvette Parts in Lighthouse, FL. The receipt I have shows I paid $145. Don's number is 954-480-6214.
I too had checked with John Pirkle, but he was not really dealing in alternators as "new" as ours. Good luck!
