    C2 Instrument Cluster

    Dear Members,
I, Captain Dumbass, have taken apart my cluster without marking correct positions for some of the parts. The two capacitators p/n 1960960 and p/n 1960959 screw into the back of the cluster below the Battery and Oil gauges. P/n 960 has the black plastic clip, p/n 959 has the brass u-clip which connects adjacent a terminal. Which goes where? Thank you much!

    Hiya Capt'n!

Been there! 1960959 is the one under the ammeter. As you view from the front of the cluster, this attaches to an existing screw just to the left of the ammeter, oriented cap down and the wire going to the right (to the ammeter connector). 1960560 obviously is the other one. It mounts to an existing screw to the right of the oil pressure gauge, oriented the same way - cap down / wire to the right connecting to the ignition connector.

Those little screws can be a challenge! Have fun!

    Pete

Thank you much for the info! I'll be home in a few minutes and have a look. Much appreciated.

There is a detailed drawing of the capacitors on sheet U69-A4 of your AIM. Check it out.
